Our main office serves all of Mahe Island. We offer vehicle collection and drop-off directly at our premises, or free delivery to any location on the island including Seychelles International Airport, Victoria city centre, hotels and private villas.

A dedicated meet-and-greet service is available for arriving passengers. Your vehicle will be ready on arrival — just contact us 24 hours in advance to confirm your flight details.

These policies apply to all Quantum Car Hire rentals on Mahe, Seychelles. By collecting a vehicle you agree to the following terms.

Minimum Rental Age

Drivers must be at least 18 years of age. Drivers aged 18–20 may be subject to a young driver surcharge and additional insurance conditions. Full details will be confirmed at booking.

Driving Licence

A valid driving licence held for a minimum of one year is required. International visitors may drive on their national licence for up to three months. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is strongly recommended for licences not issued in English or French.

Insurance & Excess

All rentals include Third Party Liability and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) as standard. A refundable security deposit is held at the time of vehicle collection. Excess amounts vary by vehicle category and are clearly stated in the rental agreement.

Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the cost of refuelling plus an administration fee will be deducted from the security deposit.

Mileage

Unlimited mileage is included on all rentals. Vehicles are restricted to Mahe Island only unless prior written consent is obtained.

Late Returns

A grace period of one hour applies to all returns. Late returns beyond one hour will be charged at the applicable daily rate, pro-rated per additional hour.

Prohibited Use

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Off-road driving (except in the Jimny 4WD, where permitted trails apply)
• Sub-letting or transferring the vehicle to a third party
• Racing, rallying or use for driving instruction
• Transporting more passengers than the vehicle is rated for
• Transporting animals without prior approval

Breakdown & Accidents

In the event of a breakdown or accident, contact Quantum Car Hire immediately on +248 2 599 333. Do not attempt repairs without authorisation. In the case of an accident, obtain a police report and notify us within 24 hours.

Renting a car with Quantum is straightforward. Payment can be made online or on-site by credit card or cash in SCR, USD, or EUR.

Payment Terms

• Invoice Payment: Full payment is required at vehicle pick-up. For long-term rentals, specific payment schedules are outlined in the signed rental agreement.
• Tariff: Charges are based on the current published tariff at the time of signing. Late payments may incur legal default interest and an administration fee.
• Rental Period: The daily rate is calculated per 24-hour period from the time of vehicle delivery. Final charges are settled upon return following inspection.
• Final Settlement: A closing inspection assesses damage, fuel level, mileage, cleanliness, and returned accessories before the deposit is released.

Accepted Payment Methods

• Cash: SCR, USD, EUR
• VISA, Maestro, or MasterCard (credit or debit)
• Online payment via the DPO Payment Gateway (VISA / MasterCard)

Card Decline

If a card payment is declined, you will be notified and asked to provide an alternative method. Decline reasons may include insufficient funds, daily transaction limits, or incorrect billing details. Reservations not resolved within 24 hours may be cancelled.

Payment Security

• SSL & Tokenisation: All card data is transmitted over encrypted SSL channels. Raw card details are never visible to Quantum Car Hire.
• 3D Secure: All online transactions are protected by 3D Secure authentication.
• PCI-DSS Level 1: Our payment gateway is fully certified to the highest PCI-DSS standard.

Refunds

• Credit / Debit Card: Refunds are returned to the original card used within 5–10 business days.
• Bank Transfer: Provide your full name, address, IBAN, and SWIFT code for bank transfer refunds.

Currency

Online payments are processed in Seychellois Rupees (SCR). Foreign cards are converted at VISA / MasterCard exchange rates applicable on the transaction date.

Fraud Prevention

To protect against fraud, Quantum Car Hire reserves the right to verify your identity and card details prior to releasing any vehicle. A copy of a valid photo ID may be requested.

Quantum Car Hire (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable Seychelles data protection law.

Information We Collect

• Name, email address, phone number, and postal address
• Driving licence number, passport or national ID details
• Payment card details (processed securely; not stored by us)
• Vehicle usage data, rental dates, and location of delivery/collection
• Communications with our team via phone, email, or WhatsApp

How We Use Your Information

• Processing your booking and managing your rental
• Verifying your identity and driving eligibility
• Processing payments and issuing receipts
• Contacting you regarding your reservation or account
• Complying with legal obligations (e.g. accident reporting)
• Improving our services and website experience

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g. payment processors, insurers), strictly for those purposes. We may disclose data if required by law or a competent authority.

Data Retention

We retain customer data for a minimum of six years following the end of your last rental, in line with our legal and accounting obligations. Payment data is retained only as long as required by our payment processor.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@quantumcarhire.sc. We will respond within 30 days.

These Terms & Conditions govern all vehicle rentals provided by Quantum Car Hire, Mahe, Seychelles. By making a reservation you accept these terms in full.

1. Reservations

All reservations are subject to vehicle availability. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from Quantum Car Hire. We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent or superior category if the reserved vehicle is unavailable.

2. Rental Agreement

A rental agreement must be signed by the primary driver before any vehicle is released. All drivers listed on the agreement must be present and provide valid identification and driving licences at the time of collection.

3. Rates & Charges

Rental rates are as published at the time of booking and include standard insurance. Additional charges may apply for optional extras, late returns, additional drivers, or excess fuel. All rates are quoted in Seychellois Rupees (SCR) unless otherwise stated.

4. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required at vehicle collection. The deposit amount varies by vehicle category. It is released within 5 working days of vehicle return, subject to no outstanding charges.

5. Cancellations

• Cancellations made 48+ hours before pick-up: full refund
• Cancellations made 24–48 hours before pick-up: 50% of the first day’s rate retained
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pick-up or no-shows: one day’s rental charge retained

6. Liability

Quantum Car Hire is not liable for any loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle, indirect or consequential losses, or delays caused by circumstances outside our control (including weather events or road closures).

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Seychelles.

8. Amendments

Quantum Car Hire reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. The version published on our website at the time of booking will apply to your rental.

The following summarises the key obligations and conditions of the Quantum Car Hire Rental Agreement. The full signed agreement takes precedence.

Vehicle Condition

The renter acknowledges receipt of the vehicle in the condition recorded on the rental agreement check sheet. Any pre-existing damage must be noted before departure. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition, allowing for fair wear and tear.

Driver Responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws of the Republic of Seychelles
• Ensure the vehicle is securely locked when unattended
• Report any accident, theft, or damage to Quantum Car Hire immediately
• Not permit any unlisted driver to operate the vehicle
• Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs ability

Damages & Liability

The renter is financially responsible for all damage to the vehicle occurring during the rental period up to the excess amount specified in the agreement. Damage caused by negligence, reckless driving, or breach of these conditions is not covered by CDW and the renter is fully liable.

Theft

In the event of vehicle theft, the renter must report immediately to the police and provide Quantum Car Hire with a copy of the police report. Theft cover is included subject to the renter not having left the vehicle unsecured.

Return of Vehicle

The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location by the agreed date and time. Extensions must be approved in writing. Failure to return the vehicle without notice may be treated as vehicle misappropriation.

Governing Law

This rental agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles.
